The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb three peaks within a given time limit. Here’s four of the best for you to consider:
The Staffordshire Three Peaks are Oliver Hill, Cheeks Hill, and The Roaches.
These three tops in the Staffordshire moorland can be combined into an excellent 15 mile challenge with a 8 hour time limit.
The Derbyshire Three Peaks are Kinder Scout, Bleaklow, and Higher Shelf Stones. These three remote mountain tops in the Peak District can be combined into an excellent 21 mile challenge with a 10 hour time limit.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks are Ingleborough, Whernside, and Pen-y-gent. This 24 mile challenge starting in Horton in Ribblesdale also has a 12 hour time limit.
The National Three Peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales. Even with some long transfers in between climbs it is still possible to complete this challenge within the 24 hour time limit.
